Free the Gospel
We read in scripture about how often Jesus spoke to crowds and healed the sick. But we never read about Him collecting money for ticket to hear Him speak…We never hear about Him sending medical bills to those He healed…We don’t see that because Jesus’ ministry wasn’t about making money. His mission was to spread the truth of His grace and love for all.
At Rhodes Grove Camp, we have that same mission, to tell all who are willing to hear, about the Good News of Jesus Christ. We understand that cost is a factor in deciding about the ability to come to camp and we want to change that. Through our Free the Gospel initiative, we’re making camp possible for everyone! If you want to come to camp and you can cover the cost, great we’ll see you at camp. If you want to come to camp and you cannot cover the cost, great we’ll see you at camp. We don’t want money to hinder a chance for you to hear the magnificent news of Jesus Christ! Do it…Register Now! We have a place for you at RGC! See you at camp!

Servant Leadership Camp
Servant Leadership Camp is a 2-week camp experience, designed for students aged 14-17, who have given thought to work on Rhodes Grove Summer Team, would like to work on Summer Team in the future, could not attend the 24/7 leadership program, or want practical leadership training. These campers would attend Quest camp, as traditional campers. These students would attend regular camp chapel sessions, engage in regular camp activities, and stay in camper cabins. These students would then attend extra leadership training during specific times of the day. These sessions will be taught by the Ministry Director, accompanied by 1 male SLC counselor, and 1 female SLC counselor. After the traditional camp week (Quest), students will be asked to stay the weekend to receive more training sessions, and interact with camp staff, and attend church together as a group. Students would then be Volunteer work members the following week during our Day Camp. Students would be able to serve as an SLC team member for the entirety of the week, in an area they would like to work, or gain more experience in (retail, counseling, maintenance, support team). These students would stay overnight during this week as well under the supervision of the Sr. staff and the ministry director. The students would still receive 1 training session per evening after the campers depart. They would then participate in team meetings, debriefs and evening activities. This would give the students the full experience of what its like to be on team, and gain more leadership skill. They would then graduate the program with a certificate, and have the opportunity to apply as a returning SLC member the following summer on our summer team

Equestrian Camps
Mustangs and Mavericks
Throw on your boots and bandana and come to experience our “Mustangs and Mavericks” horse camp. Camps are designed for the intermediate rider looking to add more skill to their abilities. Open for female campers, there are 3 weeks to choose from. Campers will enjoy all the activities of traditional camp while also experiencing the added benefit of caring for and riding an exclusive horse all week. Horses and tack are provided by the camp. A special highlight of the experience is the overnight, rustic trail adventure in the Michaux State Forest. Campers will sleep under the stars, while enjoying time away with the other participants in this program. (We recommend 10-15 hours or previous horse experience for these camps).
Equestrian Experience
Designed to create a heightened horsemanship experienced of the seasoned rider, campers will participate in the traditional schedule for our Quest Camp but will also have the added benefit of specially crafted horse activities. The Equestrian Experience includes drill team activities, individual skill challenges, rodeo games and more. There will be a 3 hour trail ride in the beautiful Michaux State Forest. Open for all campers, each rider should have 25 hours of horsemanship exposure and plan to spend approximately 4 hours a day in the barn or corral.
Wild Wind
Get Ready to BLAZE your guided trail. Just you, your horse, your experienced tour guide and your co-riders otherwise known as your posse. Wild Wind camp is designed for advanced riders looking for the ultimate wilderness horsemanship adventure. This is a young ladies only camping experience. Riders must have had previous Rhodes Grove Horse Camp (or equivalent overnight trip) experience and 25 hours of horsemanship exposure (participants will be asked to validate riding experience.) Wild Wind includes two overnights on the trail in the Michaux State Forest. These rustic adventures will be loads of fun, but also extremely challenging. Riders will be taken to a new level in their equestrian skills!
