Family Camp
Family Camp
Family Camp takes place over Memorial Day weekend from Friday evening until Monday morning.
The main speaker for the camp is retired Evangelical Congregational Church Bishop Bruce Hill. And Matt and Katie Logan, from New Cumberland, PA, will lead the worship songs this year.
A variety of options are available for your family’s lodging. This includes air-conditioned hotel rooms and cabins, as well as some cottages. In addition, RV and camper sites are available.
There will be the availability of a full meal package, which includes all three meals on Saturday and Sunday, and two meals on Monday. Included in the meal package is the chicken BBQ meal, which can also be purchased separately.
During the weekend there will be kid’s activities, horse rides, tournaments, a rubber duckie race, and a safe place to enjoy time with your family while growing closer to God.
Please contact Vicki Truax at 717-375-4162 option 1 for availability, rates, and registration.

Mustangs and Mavericks
Throw on your boots and bandana and come to experience our “Mustangs and Mavericks” horse camp. Camps are designed for the intermediate rider looking to add more skill to their abilities. Open for female campers, there are 3 weeks to choose from. Campers will enjoy all the activities of traditional camp while also experiencing the added benefit of caring for and riding an exclusive horse all week. Horses and tack are provided by the camp. A special highlight of the experience is the overnight, rustic trail adventure in the Michaux State Forest. Campers will sleep under the stars, while enjoying time away with the other participants in this program. (We recommend 10-15 hours or previous horse experience for these camps).
Equestrian Experience
Designed to create a horsemanship experience for seasoned riders, campers will participate in the traditional schedule for our Quest Camp but will also have the added benefit of specially crafted horse activities. The Equestrian Experience includes drill team activities, individual skill challenges, rodeo games and more. There will be a 3 hour trail ride in the beautiful Michaux State Forest. Open for all campers, each rider should have 25 hours of horsemanship exposure and plan to spend approximately 4 hours a day in the barn or corral.
Wild Wind

Wild Wind camp is designed for advanced riders looking for the ultimate wilderness horsemanship adventure. This is a young ladies only camping experience. Riders must have had previous Rhodes Grove Horse Camp (or equivalent overnight trip) experience and 25 hours of horsemanship exposure (participants will be asked to validate riding experience.) Wild Wind includes two overnights on the trail in the Michaux State Forest. These rustic adventures will be loads of fun, but also extremely challenging. Riders will be taken to a new level in their equestrian skills!

Full Cost of Camp
Rhodes Grove Camp recognizes that these are hard economic times. If you need financial assistance, we can help. Through our Free The Gospel program, we have generous donors who contribute financially so that finances are not an issue. We don’t ever want cost to be the reason someone does not attend summer camp or a retreat. Financial assistance is confidential between the families and Rhodes Grove Camp. Please see below our guidelines for this program.
Here’s how it works:
- Register by June 1 for consideration to receive up to 50% of the camp registration cost (not including activity fees) after any aid is given by churches or family members. and other financial contributors. (For example, the total camp cost for the week is $300. Your church pays $100 leaving a balance of $200. If Rhodes Grove can cover 50% of the outstanding balance ($100) then you are responsible for the rest ($100).)
- The amount of aid given will depend on the aid available to disperse.
- Registrations after June 1 will be granted aid based on additional donations that are received.
- In all instances, financial aid will not be applied to activities that require additional costs.
- Assistance will only be given for one week of camp per camper.
The remaining balance that you are responsible for paying is due at the time of your online, mail-in, or call-in registration.
$50.00 non-refundable deposit is due with all registrations. Cancellations received up to one week prior to registration day will be refunded less the $50.00 non-refundable deposit.
